Love Bici.

Overview

It all started with a distress call. The owner of Love Bici, an e-bike rental business in Formentera, had invested over €4,000 in a website meant to attract customers and simplify bookings. Instead, after passing through several hands — including that of an “expert” with years of experience on paper — he ended up with a platform that wasn't responsive, an absurd booking system (a group of friends had to book one by one, repeating the same process several times), and customers who, frustrated, ended up calling by phone or going to the competition.

My job wasn't to patch what was there, but to rebuild the site from scratch with an architecture genuinely designed around the user. I took a mobile-first approach, since more than 80% of the traffic came from mobile, and I redesigned the booking flow so that a group of six people could complete a single booking with six participants instead of six separate processes. I simplified the selection of model, dates, and insurance into a logical, frictionless journey, drastically reducing drop-offs.

What makes this project special isn't its technical complexity, but the honesty behind the process: proving that real experience is measured in useful solutions, not in years on a résumé or in overcharging for someone else's mistakes. It's a case that reminds me why I do this work: understanding the client's problem before touching a single line of code.

The site is currently in production and in active use, handling real bookings every season, with a smooth mobile experience and a group system that has eliminated the repetitive manual work that used to lose sales.
