La Vie Éternelle.
Overview
La Vie Éternelle is one of the projects I'm most proud of, both for the visual result and for the design process behind it. The challenge was to build the website for a high-end watch brand — a sector where every detail (typography, spacing, scroll rhythm, transitions) communicates as much as the product itself. My goal wasn't just to showcase watches, but to convey a sense of exclusivity and craftsmanship through the interface itself.
I built the project with Next.js, leaning on its hybrid rendering architecture for fast loading and a smooth experience — especially important on a site where animations and visual content carry considerable weight. Tailwind let me maintain a coherent, scalable design system, keeping consistency between sections without sacrificing the creative flexibility this kind of project demands.
One of the aspects I worked on most was the chapter-based narrative that guides the user through the brand's story, seeking a balance between editorial aesthetics and usability so that the navigation felt as considered as the content itself. I also paid special attention to performance and adaptability across devices — something often neglected in highly visual sites, but here it was key to keeping the elegance intact in every format.
This project marks a turning point in how I understand web design: not as a sum of functional components, but as a narrative tool capable of reinforcing a brand's identity. The site is currently in production and publicly accessible, serving as a centrepiece of my portfolio to demonstrate my ability to combine high-quality design with a solid technical foundation.
